The Faith Community of Hampden

Sword Fight
Bianca
It was great to see so many people turn out for the Bishop's visit on the third of August. We also had two other special guests present, John Hampden (after whom Hampden is named) and St Stephen. They were introduced to each other and then told each other about their respective lives.

It seemed that they had a lot in common, as they both died standing up against the establishment for what they believed was right and just.

The children were more than happy to re-enact the stoning of St Stephen, fortunately made of rolled up newspaper, and then to engage in a cardboard sword fight. Much enjoyed by all

Especially the cuppa after and very nice spread indeed. Thanks to the willing hands!
