Welcome to our pages. Here you will find,
Those who first walked this way were Maori on summer hunting expeditions. Pakeha (European) settlement began with a trickle of sheep-farmers followed by a rush of gold-miners from the 1860s. The Anglican expression of God's Church has always been few in number relative to Presbyterian and Roman Catholic, yet highly valued for its special gifts within the wider Christian family.
The Dunstan Pasrish is comprised of five small, widely scattered faith communities. We are working under the Mutual Ministry concept and are enjoying the opportunity to widen our vision and use our God-given gifts. We have employed a part-time Priest Enabler and the parish is well served by 4 non-stipendiary priests, a ministry team and two lay ministers in the Teviot valley. Administrator and contact person is Liz Duggan (03) 448-7435 or eaduggan@clear.net.nz
