Eternal God, who inspired the pioneers of our southernmost Diocese to establish your Church in this new land, grant us enthusiasm to carry on your work in our generation.
We thank you for the beauty and diversity of the land we have inherited: for fertile farmland, orchards and vineyards; for picturesque lakes, snowy mountains, and majestic fjords; for the rich bounty of the surrounding seas and for opportunities provided by the vigorous growth of our cities.
Grant us the grace to show vision for the future, to pass on our heritage of worship and service and to meet challenges and changes with faith in your abiding love.
We ask it in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.
