Anglican Diocese of Dunedin, New Zealand

Beth Griffin, Children and Family Educator

Hello! In June 2004 I moved to Invercargill from Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada. My husband and I were set on adventure and thanks to the miracle of the internet and some divine intervention, here we are - David is the Vicar of St. John's, St. Aidan's and St. Luke's and I am thrilled to be working with you on developing and growing our ministry with children and families in this beautiful part of the world!

I grew up a dairy farm in Quebec and pursued my BA in Psychology at the University of Ottawa. Taking a couple of years off to travel and work in Alberta, I then obtained my Master of Divinity degree at the Vancouver School of Theology. After ordination I worked as the Assistant Priest at St. Michael and All Angels Cathedral in Kelowna for eight years. There I met David and my two step-daughters, Vanessa and Jessica. They have stayed in Canada to pursue their education but plan to come and visit.

In the past three years, I have been working in publishing and promoting Christian education resources for Wood Lake Books. I have extensive experience in children and youth ministry at a parish level - developing curriculum and events, training leadership, creating intergenerational worship, and facilitating groups. I have a particular love of drama and enjoy drawing out people's gifts. Children and families are the core of our church community and I look forward to meeting you and being a resource to you!

Please contact me for resources, information, to arrange a visit or just to connect: 021 531 143 or beth@in2net.co.nz
Take care!
