I was born in the seaport of Lyttelton in the 50's. Having grown up in a community where most travel to the outside world was by train, I have become a model railway buff. I am a fan of sixties music, especially the Beatles.
Since coming to the Dunedin Diocese in 1987 I have worked with a number of rural communities in Southland before taking up the task of Ministry Educator. I have a real enthusiasm for alternative ministry models which help the Church relate to the society in which we live.
The Christian task is to find a spirituality that makes sense of this modern world we live in and a sense of community.
Ministry Education seeks to provide people the tools and resources, the space and the people to reflect how we offer the gifts of faith we have discovered in ways they can appreciate and value.
We live in exciting times. God is very present. mined.selwyn@stonebow.otago.ac.nz
