   Welcome to the Anglican Diocese of Dunedin's website.  The Diocese of Dunedin covers the provinces of Otago and Southland in the lower South Island of New Zealand.  It includes about thirty parishes as well as social service agencies in Dunedin and Invercargill, rest homes, a psycho-geriatric hospital, a girls' school and a University hall of residence.

What's Happening in the Diocese?

Ninth Bishop of Dunedin named

   The Ven Dr Kelvin Wright, Vicar of the Dunedin parish of St John's Roslyn, has been confirmed as Bishop-Elect, following the Electoral Synod held in October.  Dr Wright will be ordained as the ninth Bishop of Dunedin at St Paul's Cathedral on the 27th of February 2010.  See our News page for more, or click here for a profile of the Bishop-Elect.
